G.SHDSL Modem

A G.SHDSL modem supports symmetric user data rates in the range of 192 kbps to 2.3 Mbps per copper pair, using a TCPAM (Trellis coded pulse amplitude modulation) line code. Connecting computers, bridges, routers, and other digital communications equipment over G.SHDSL lines, such modems enable quality delivery of broadband services for business applications.

RAD’s G.SHDSL Modem Solutions

RAD’s G.SHDSL modem devices provide LAN extension with improved throughput and a service reach of up to 10 km (6.2 miles). In addition, they include a management channel that enables remote unit configuration and diagnostics. The management channel can operate in parallel to the data channel over the same wire. Transmitting V.35, X.21, RS-530, Fast Ethernet, and E1 traffic over G.SHDSL links, these intelligent G.SHDSL modems work opposite modem racks such as the LRS-24, or opposite third-party TDM equipment supporting the G.SHDSL standard.
