RAD Exhibits its Mobile Demarcation Devices at LTE World Summit 2011

Company to Supply its MDDs to Two Tier 1 European Mobile Operators

At LTE World Summit 2011, which is being held May 17-18 in Amsterdam, RAD Data Communications will be exhibiting its complete portfolio of mobile demarcation devices (MDDs) for cellular backhaul.

RAD’s MDDs are deployed at cell-sites and combine Ethernet demarcation functionalities with powerful clock synchronization support in a single device to ensure service quality with end-to-end performance management across packet backhaul, as required by operators of 3G, HSPA and LTE networks.

Recently, RAD’s MDDs were selected by two Tier 1 mobile operators in Europe, which will deploy them in their backhaul networks. “Winning these two tenders is a testament to RAD’s technological leadership in developing mobile backhaul solutions,” states Ronen Guri, the company’s Business Development and Solution Manager for Mobile Backhaul Services. “RAD’s cutting-edge support for hierarchical QoS and traffic management guarantees differentiated SLAs,” he adds, “and since our MDDs are all-in-one devices, they minimize the equipment needed for timing and demarcation.”
