DCME
Digital Circuit Multiplication Equipment (DCME) performs voice compression over TDM and IP networks to reduce bandwidth requirements for microwave, wireline and costly satellite links by up to 16:1, without causing degradation in voice quality. DCME voice trunking gateways employ voice detection and silence suppression techniques to enable enterprises, cellular operators and carriers to cut operating costs and open up more lines of communications using existing bandwidth capacity.
RAD’s DCME voice trunking gateways employ powerful compression algorithms to transmit up to 16 full E1/T1 circuits over a single E1/T1 or packet-based network. This reduces bandwidth consumption and cuts the number of leased lines used to connect voice switches. The Vmux and Gmux DCME voice trunking solutions are ideally suitable for connectivity in multi-site organizations where branch offices and remote sites are linked via satellite microwave or other limited bandwidth connections.
