Backhaul 2G cellular traffic over low-cost PSN (packet switched network) using T1 and E1 access lines, while ensuring reliability for real-time voice services.
Our Solution
RAD's IPmux-24 TDM pseudowire access gateway allows mobile operators and transport providers to deliver GSM and CDMA traffic from 2G BTSs over packet backhaul. Working opposite the Gmux-2000 hub-site pseudowire access gateway and featuring standard pseudowire and synchronization capabilities, the IPmux-24 regenerates the original clock transmitted by the BSC and eliminates the need for costly clock source at every base station. By conforming to G.823/G.824 jitter and wander requirements, as well as providing better than 16 ppb clock accuracy, these 2G cellular backhaul over PSN solutions enable the migration of mobile services to next-generation networks while maintaining voice service quality.
