Efraim Wachtel
Efraim Wachtel was born in Israel in 1945. He graduated from the Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology, in 1970 with a B.Sc. in electrical engineering. He studied business administration at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and also holds a Masters degree in computer sciences.
Mr. Wachtel worked in the Weizmann Institute of Science, Tadiran and Telrad as an R&D engineer. He later spent six years in the United States. While pursuing his graduate education, he also worked at Lear Siegler Avionics.
Mr. Wachtel joined RAD Data Communications in 1984, establishing RAD's American subsidiary in New Jersey. He returned to Israel in 1985 to head the International Marketing Department, and served successively as Director and then Vice President of Marketing and Sales. He was named President and CEO in 1997.
Mr. Wachtel is married and is the father of three sons.
